WHY DO WE DO IT?
We are passionate about growing young people to become who they are truly made to be. We believe in their intrinsic value and in the power of shared experiences. Camp brings out the best and the worst in kids - we want to provide a safe and positive environment where they can be themselves in cooperation with others. Our programmes are run from a Christian world view - Camp Columba provides a safe place for young people to learn about God and explore faith questions for themselves. Our aim is to address and grow the physical, emotional, spiritual and mental aspect of each person through community and fun.
OSCAR-approval
Camp Columba is approved by the Ministry of Social Development New Zealand for Out of School Care and Recreation (OSCAR) services. This means we are audited regularly to ensure we meet the highest standards in safety and care for children. Because of this, our programmes are government-assisted and suitable for a range of children from various backgrounds. Government Subsidies
Because we are OSCAR-approved, you may be eligible for a government subsidy on your camp fee!

Winz Subsidy
Please note that we only provide our completed WINZ subsidy form and can not guarantee you will receive a subsidy for your child/children by handing in this form. We also can not comment on whether their camp fee will be partially or fully paid as it differs from family to family. After printing off this form input your child/children's details and present this form to their social worker or at work and income.
