Camp Columba respects your privacy. We collect personal information so we can safely and effectively provide camps, programmes, accommodation and related services, communicate with you, meet our legal obligations and support our charitable activities.

What we may collect

• You or your child's name, contact details and emergency contacts.

• Booking, attendance and programme information.

• Dietary, allergy, health, medical, accessibility and safety information that is relevant to participation.

• Billing and transaction information.

• Information supplied when applying to work or volunteer with us, which may include identification, references and police vetting information.

• Enquiries, feedback and communications.

• Photographs or video where appropriate to the programme and the permissions provided.

How we use and share information

We use personal information for the purpose for which it was collected and other purposes permitted by law. We may share relevant information with authorised staff, emergency services, health professionals, schools or group leaders, trusted service providers, advisers or government agencies where this is necessary or legally required. We do not sell personal information.

Providing information

Some information is optional. However, if information that is necessary for safety, participation, booking or a legal requirement is not provided, we may be unable to provide some services or allow participation in a programme.

Storage and service providers

We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information. Information may be held in secure digital systems and, where necessary, secure paper records. Some service providers may process or store information outside New Zealand; where this occurs, Camp Columba remains responsible for meeting applicable New Zealand privacy requirements.

Your rights

You may ask for access to personal information we hold about you and request correction if you believe it is wrong, incomplete or misleading. You may also raise a privacy concern or complaint with us.
