Want to help at a holiday camp?
That's awesome! We have a lot of different roles at our camps, please get in touch with the Ministry Camps Coordinator for more information/if you are interested in helping out in any way or have any further questions about getting involved!
For a specific camp please register through the corresponding event page and get in touch with the Camps Coordinator.
If you haven't been part of the team before, please (click to download &) fill in our volunteer application form.
If you are 17 or older we will also require you to (click to download &) fill in a police vetting form.

Programme Assistant (PA) ~ ages 14-15
Too old to be a camper, too young to be a leader but still keen to be involved? Awesome! Come as a PA and learn the basics of leadership and the drill of camp through practical service - discover that you've got what it takes to work hard and take responsibility in the midst of a fun, supportive team!
Junior Leader ~ ages 15-16
Once you've got some hand-on experience at camp, dive right into leading the campers full-time, supporting the senior leaders, learning from them as you spread your wings and enjoy the ride!
Senior Leader ~ ages 16+
Step up your leadership ability as you take responsibility for the campers under your care - growing them, learning with them and having a blast!
Head Boy/Girl
You're used to leading and ready for extra responsibility. You support the leaders, jump in to help them out practically and emotionally, fill a gap while someone's on break, help with lights out and are generally a super-cool, encouraging person!
Camp Mum/Dad
You also support the leaders, with hands-on help whenever and wherever needed, fulfilling a number of smaller tasks and helping with discipline.
Camp Nurse
You do NOT have to be a registered nurse to fill this role - all you need is a current First Aid Certificate, a bit of organisational ability and love for kids with usually quite minor injuries.. You dispense medication and administer first aid. You're the only person we hope will have a boring/uneventful camp.
Programme Director (PD)
You're enthusiastic, organised and love being up-front and center for all the action! You run the programme at camp, announcing what's next etc and getting everyone engaged!
PA-Leader
You lead the Programme Assistants, facilitate the timely and thorough completion of their duties (food prep&service, cleaning, set-up, etc.), coming alongside them practically and spiritually, teaching leadership skills and fun teamwork.
Head Cook/Assistant Cook/Kitchen helper
You enjoy food and feeding hordes of hungry hooligans/campers, are quite efficient and want to be involved in a practical and vitally important way!
You cook the food and liaise with the PA-Leader about what needs doing. At the end of camp you oversee the clean-up, tidy the pantry and deal with left-overs.
