Hello My name is Shelley Taylor, and I run these crazy holiday programmes at Camp Columba!!
I’m from Canada, so when you talk to me I may sound a little funny!
I’ve been camping from the time I was in my mum’s tummy. And I’ve spent every summer of my life at camp with my family and had the best time of my life. As I grew older I thought my camping days were through, but I ended up in New Zealand at the Lifeway Bible College and met the man of my dreams, a Kiwi, with an accent! We decided to move to the South Island so Philip could go to SIT for a Sports Degree. On our way South, I snagged an awesome job at NZ’s El Rancho. A Camp near Wellington, and had the privilege of running their Summer camps. When Philip had to start school, I thought I had to kiss the camping lifestyle goodbye, and came down south. But God is so cool and brought us to Camp Columba, and we can do what we love to do; give kids the best time ever in the best place ever…Camp! I love Jesus with all my Heart, Soul, Strength, and Mind.
